All vent-free burners are equipped with a an Oxygen Depletion System (ODS) pilot, which will shut off the burner should oxygen levels drop inside the fireplace. Lit with a push button ignitor, the manual safety pilot is simple to operate. The manual safety pilot will automatically close the valve when the flow of gas to the burner is disrupted or the pilot light is extinguished.
